Summers can be brutal no matter where you live. One thing that always happens are those nasty cravings, especially sweet tooth cravings. Ways to help overcome sweet tooth cravings are making sure you stay well hydrated. It’s recommended that you at least have 64oz of water if not half your weight in ounces. Other great ways to cure those cravings is by intaking sugar naturally with fruit. Summer is the best time for the tastiest selections. Watermelon, mangoes, strawberries (really any berry), and those juicy peaches. Of course, there are more those are just to name a few. Fruits are filled with such great antioxidants that help with skin, heart, blood pressure, and overall health. Each fruit has it’s own benefit, and can help your body not only stay healthy but fight off the cravings. Some fun recipes you can incorporate fruit with can be honey, Greek yogurt, smoothies, or even some fun protein pack ice cream flavors.
Peach Summer Salad with Mint Honey Dressing
2 peaches pitted and chopped
1c chopped/sliced strawberries
½ c blackberries
½ lemon juiced
1 tblsp honey
2-3 mint leaves, finely chopped
1) Mix all the fruit into one bowl
2) In a small bowl mix together lemon juice and honey until honey is dissolved then add the mint leaves and gently mix
3) Pour dressing over salad mix gently making sure all fruit is coated and ENJOY!
