Morning Routine and What Motivates Me in the Morning

For starters a good night’s rest is one of the key attributes that start my morning off right. Even when I work night shift I still make sure I come home and get 7 hours of sleep before I start my day off. Studies prove the more sleep-deprived you are, the slower you become at getting tasks done at work and everyday duties, according to a 2012 Journal of Vision study. The next step is to find a routine that works for you. Lately what I have found that works is to get up and take at least 30 minutes to myself. Usually I can’t start my day without coffee so I’ll make a cup and go outside and take a moment to just take it all in and think about everything I’m grateful for. Often times we get so caught up in in our thoughts, our busy lives, the negative that we forget to stop and think about what makes us happy and things we are grateful for so its important to just take a moment to start our day with a fresh and positive mind set. Usually during that time I am making my breakfast so that its ready when I go inside. By the time I eat and get coffee in me I'm set. Depending on what your schedule is like going to the gym in the morning or after I get up is what motivates me. Not only is it a place to go to work out but if you're in the fitness industry it becomes a home. It becomes a second family. Hitting the gym in the morning is the icing on the cake , it makes me feel accomplished and awake and ready for my day. So with that being said, starting your day off with a fresh and positive mindset, being grateful for what you have and can accomplish as well as surrounding yourself with things and people that make you happy... that's what motivates me! I challenge you to try it !
